NordX is a veteran-owned IT firm based in Fredericksburg, Virginia. We support government teams, contractors, and organizations that can't afford for the technical work to be an afterthought.
Eli Dean founded NordX after years as an Army Military Intelligence Systems Maintainer/Integrator — the person responsible for keeping networks, endpoints, and enterprise systems working when it counted. That job rewards a specific habit: figure out exactly what's required, keep the environment secure while you do it, and leave a record good enough that someone else can take over. NordX runs the same way.
We want the systems we touch to be easier to run and harder to break. In practice that means a scope everyone agrees on before the work starts, decisions you can trace later, and documentation that doesn't assume the reader was in the room.
When something's unclear, we ask rather than guess. When a constraint changes, you hear it from us early. You deal with the people actually doing the work, and you get a plain account of where things stand.
Work begins with the boring but necessary part: nailing down the environment, the deliverables, the dependencies, and what "done" actually looks like. From there we move in stages you can check, log the changes as we make them, and verify the result before calling it complete. Clearances and staffing get matched to the contract up front, not scrambled for mid-project.
Federal and state agencies, prime contractors and their subs, and a handful of commercial organizations. We're at our best when a team is short on technical capacity, needs a work package someone will actually own end to end, or wants a partner small enough to move without three layers of account management in the way.
Send us the scope. If we're a fit, we'll tell you how we'd approach it. If we're not, you'll get that answer just as fast.
